Anime Expo 2009 was one to remember. The last convention was great, there were more quality vendors and they had a stronger collection of anime merchandise but, the costumes were sub par. Aside from the giant DOMO and Gloomy the characters that attended the show were just average, no real thought out costumes. Now this year was the exact opposite, there were very few quality vendors but the cosplay this year was not just creative but FUN!. The Power rangers were awesome, they were so coordinated and in sync at all times, from the jumping to the finger pointing they were on cue. The expo got a little x-rated when we went into the 18+ venue, there were pillows with topless and bottomless anime style women. As we proceeded to the end of the exhibit we saw how freaky the Japanese really are, they had a hand job machine (with life like hand) and a women auto dildo machine. At that point I had to leave. The rest of the convention entailed a street fighter tournament that seemed like it wasn’t ever going to end and watching the SNK characters threaten the CAPCOM characters, which was pretty damn entertaining.
