After weeks of planning, designing, and executing, our Spring/Summer 2010 run is finally here. This run in particular is one that will shape and mold the ideal branding for our company. I feel as though we have found our lane and we intend to stay in it. This is also our first season with 99% of our production being in-house which, is also a milestone of sorts. Stay tuned for our second release which is slated to hit our shop later this month.

Shwood’s in-house manufacturing process merges precision technology with classic skilled craftsmanship to create a timeless art form. Every step from veneering and precision lens cutting, to shaping and finishing is conducted in their own Portland-based workshop to promise an entirely handcrafted eyewear piece. Wood manipulation is kept to a minimum in order to showcase the medium’s natural and unique splendor. All models are accompanied by 100% UVA/UVB protection Carl Zeiss lenses imported from Italy. This weeks Friday Feature is Shawn Stussy, the mastermind behind the brand known as Stussy.

I recently was invited down to the Nooka show room in DTLA to view and photograph some of their new products. To my surprise Nooka is more than just watches. The company supplies toys, belts, wallets, cologne, and soon they will also have their own sunglasses. I would like to mention that they have collaborated with many different companies like MTV, Hellz Bellz, UNDRCRWN and Kid Robot to design special edition time pieces. Although I didn’t get to meet up with Ken (Nooka Rep I met during the Agenda trade show) like we planned, I did however meet Sameer, another Rep for Nooka, who was very helpful none the less. He got all the watches, toys, wallets, stands, belts and catalogs in order for me to get some really good shots.
