Hajime Sorayama is known world-wide for his imaginative and highly accomplished paintings of beautiful women. Using brush, pencil and acrylic paint, airbrushing only finishing details, he creates memorable images in a hyper-realistic style. One of the greatest hands down.

Eric Yahnker does great work with charcoal and color pencils.

Chanel’s latest short film, which debuted last night in Saint Tropez before guests — in town to preview the brand’s Cruise 2011 show today — played a rousing game of petanque, is now online. The 17-minute film features Abbey Lee Kershaw as a Jane Birkin lookalike, Freja Beha Erichsen channeling Mick Jagger, and Magdalena Frackowiak emulating Brigitte Bardot.

Lagerfeld, who wrote, directed, and makes a cameo in the film, said Monday: “When I do a film, I see the movie before I’ve made it. I don’t make scripts because it’s written in my head. I like short one-liners.” And Heidi Mount, who plays a party hostess, added: “There’s a script, but it’s basically Karl telling you what he wants. He has the whole thing up in his head.”
